MUSIC THERAPY

Research and evidence based practice that uses music to work on individualized social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and communication goals. Our Board-Certified Music Therapists work with Villagers through singing, moving to music, playing instruments, listening, and other proven techniques.

Therapy Admissions Process

The Therapy Services Director will conduct a consultation with the primary caregiver in order to get to know the Villager better and identify their strengths and needs. The Director will then recommend a therapy service, therapist, review tuition pricing*, and guide the family through intake policies.

During the first sessions, the therapist will conduct an assessment with the client to identify specific goals and objectives.

Information from the consultation and the assessment will be used to identify goals and objectives for each client.

Therapy includes interventions that address the identified goals and objectives. The ultimate goal is for generalization of skills outside of therapy.

Ongoing evaluation will be documented through weekly data collection and discussion with parents. Reassessment will also be conducted when appropriate.
