About the Program

Dream Big is a day program for adults who require increased assistance, resources and staff to achieve their full potential at High Point Village.

Dream Big’s overall goal is to provide a highly individualized enrichment program for each Villager while helping them become more independent and involved in community.

Activities

Dream Big Villagers will attend the core High Point Village activities like art, fitness, life skills and bible study. However, Dream Big Villagers will also work on:

sensory integration

task-oriented learning

music enrichment

These activities will aid Dream Big Villagers in coping with changes in their environment and will build the prevocational skills of following directions, being timely, and overall problem solving skills. Dream Big Villagers will also be working on social skills and independent living skills throughout the day.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age

  • Have a documented intellectual or developmental disability
  • Be able and willing to participate in majority of activities with assistance as needed.

  • Be free of physically aggressive and threatening behaviors. (Hitting, kicking, biting, pinching, scratching, yelling, etc.)

  • Be independent in activities of daily living or provide attendant to assist fully in ADL needs.

  • Be 18 years of age

  • Have a documented developmental disability/ or intellectual disability
  • Be able and willing to participate in majority of activities with assistance as needed.
  • Be free of physically aggressive and threatening behaviors. (Hitting, kicking, biting, pinching, scratching, yelling, etc.)
  • Be independent in activities of daily living or provide attendant to assist fully in ADL needs.

This tour provides an insight into our programs and activities. Tours are scheduled Monday-Thursday from 9AM-4PM.

If after the tour you decide that High Point Village would be a good fit for your potential Villager you will then need to fill out the New Villager Application Form.

Prospective Villagers must also provide a reference letter (high school teachers, previous programs, etc.)

The Dream Big application fee is $100.

This interview will be with both your potential Villager and the Parent/Legal Guardian to discuss goals and plans for your Villager.

This interview will need to be scheduled with Program Director, Chris Ramos and Dream Big Coordinator, Caleb Hayslip.

All potential Villagers will complete a four day trial. During this time they will spend an entire day with the Dream Big Villagers and Coordinators.

The Dream Big Coordinators will then decide if Dream Big is the appropriate fit for your potential Villager. If so, a 30 day trial period will be scheduled. After the 30 days, the Villager’s probationary period will end. All Villagers go through this process.

*First month’s payment must be submitted before the probationary period may begin

Annual tuition is $11,475 which may be divided equally over 12 months at $955 per month, or you may choose to pay $1,020 most months and $765 in December, March and June.
