About the Therapy

Speech and language therapy services are offered to all individuals in the Lubbock community and surrounding areas with the goal of helping individuals reach their full potential.

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) can help a person who has trouble understanding others (receptive language) or sharing their thoughts, ideas, and feelings (expressive language). SLPs can also teach a non speaking individual to use an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system, or improve a person’s ability to organize their thoughts, pay attention, remember, and solve problems.

Speech and language therapy services offered onsite at High Point Village by students and faculty from the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The Director will then send an intake form to the family that is to be completed before services begin. If you would like to set up the consultation please fill out this form.

Information from the consultation and the assessment will be used to identify goals and objectives for each client.
Therapy includes interventions that address the identified goals and objectives. The ultimate goal is for generalization of skills outside of therapy.

Ongoing evaluation will be documented through weekly data collection and discussion with parents. Reassessment will also be conducted when appropriate.
